This time we are doing a color challenge that upon first sight you may say to yourself "what were they thinking" but after careful consideration you see that those colors pair nicely with each other.
I was looking for designer series paper that contained these colors and was pleasantly surprised that the Festive Birthday DSP was perfect and it also gave me a chance to use the Birthday Fiesta stamp set. I wanted to do a different card than all the ones I had been viewing on Pinterest and other's blogs. A spinner card. After playing with the round spinner portion of the Slider Star Framelits and knowing I wanted the Piñata to be going around as the spinner. Not too much stamping on this card but quite a bit of fussy cutting which was OK because I was only doing one card. I used the ring that you get when you use the circle spinner framelit and then went to the layering circles framelits and cutout a larger circle for the middle. I used two white buttons from my stash and a small piece (and I mean smally...tiny piece of dimensional) between the two. To mount the circle frame I used our new foam adhesive strips (by the way it took one whole line) and then just 4 dimensionals in the center part of the whole circle then placed then mounted the spinner on the tracks. I usually do more stamping than using DSP or fussy cutting but I had fun with this one.
It was fun challenging myself and now let's see what you can do. Here are the colors and then my card.....................
